Bowfin and the incredible team NPH USA (Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos) are leveraging the power of design and the platform (Salesforce) to help raise more money for disadvantaged children in Latin America and the Caribbean.

For over half a century, NPH has cared for more than 3,200 orphaned, abandoned, and disadvantaged boys and girls in Latin America. Their reach extends across Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru to provide safe, healthy environments for these otherwise forgotten children.

Beyond raising children their facilities, NPH’s community outreach provides over 100,000 services annually, and the organization delivers scholarships, meals and healthcare to an additional 2,300 children who live outside of NPH homes.

To deliver services and manage their donation programs, NPH-USA relies on the strength of the platform and the expertise of Bowfin to manage operations, communicate with NPH donors and sponsors, and keep the entire NPH family connected.

“The next phase of enhancements are focused on the donor and sponsor user-experience, coupled with an overhaul of NPH’s underlying data to help them manage their operations more strategically,” says John Hergert, of Bowfin. “We are bringing a new, user-friendly and engaging experience to NPH donors, but the project is focused on the broader goal of helping NPH to more effectively deliver services to children in need.

Using as the foundation for the new donor portal experience paramount to its success. The flexibility and security of the platform will allow Bowfin and NPH to deliver a powerful solution to a broad number of people. Additionally, the ease of maintenance of Salesforce gives NPH the freedom to focus on running their operations with minimal additional resources during the building phase and future maintenance phases.

This week, Bowfin’s Chicago-based teams focused on solutions to break down barriers between those in need and those who can help. The teams leveraged their knowledge of business process strategy, user-experience, interface design, and data management to create a plan of action for NPH and its donors. Bowfin is proud to be part of this new endeavor (launching in Spring 2018) and grateful for the opportunity help NPH USA to do more good in the world.
